Lesson 1. What is Konnakol? History.
In the first lesson we will learn about the origins of the Konnakol system and what it is.
Lesson 2. Why do we choose Konnacol to study and understand Rhythm
In the second lesson we will try to clearly see the difference between the Western system of studying rhythm and the Konnakol system and understand its advantageous differences and what advantages it gives us.
Lesson 3. Basic syllabic combinations. Part 1. Dividing the share by 1,2,3,4.
In the third lesson we will study syllabic interpretations of note groups of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 notes. And let's do a basic exercise.
Lesson 4. Basic syllabic combinations. Part 2. Dividing the fraction by 5,6,7,8,9 and so on...
In the fourth lesson we will study syllabic interpretations of note groups of 6, 7, 8, 9 and so on notes. And let's do the exercise.
Lesson 5. Mix of combinations
In the fifth lesson we will learn to combine the studied groups with each other at the same pace. Let's understand how time changes within each group.
Lesson 6. Accents in groupings and musical pulsations.
In the sixth lesson we learn how to place accents in groups, hear and understand strong and weak beats. We will understand how musical pulsation is formed.
Lesson 7. A simple understanding of the variety of musical sizes. Part 1. 2/4, 3/4, 4/4.
We will introduce the concept of time signatures and learn basic time signatures. Let us understand the principle by which, using the Konnakol system, we can make a composition in the required size.
Lesson 8. A simple understanding of the variety of musical sizes. Part of 2. 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 8/8, 9/8...
In the eighth lesson we will get acquainted with more complex musical sizes and see that there is no difficulty in them if we use the Konnakol system.
Lesson 9. Creating a rhythmic pattern
In the ninth lesson we will create a rhythmic pattern using the Konnakol system and practice it on different instruments.
Lesson 10. Creating a rhythmic composition
In the tenth lesson we will create an entire musical composition using the system we are studying. You will see that quite complex and voluminous drawings are remembered and understood quite easily with the help of the system. And of course we will try to reproduce the resulting composition on different instruments.

Hello, my name is Nick Demidov. I am a musician and music teacher. I play such instruments as gusli, sitar, handpan, guitar, flutes, and also some percussion instruments. I study music of different cultural traditions and find it very interesting. Music has fundamental concepts such as tempo, musical time signature, pitch, note duration, and rhythm. Rhythm is the basis that turns a set of played notes into music. Some traditional musical systems are good because they interpret complex aspects of music in a simple way, which makes it easier to understand these aspects. One such system is Konnakol - an Indian rhythmic syllabic system with which we can easily master rhythm.
